The Town of Ponoka and Ponoka Arts, Recreation and Culture Society (PARCS) are excited to announce the grand opening celebration of Ponoka’s new 18-hole disc golf course on Saturday, June 14. This event will run from 12 to 2 p.m. at Riverside Rotary Park (3712 45 Street).
The grand opening celebration will include:
- A free barbecue;
- Tips and tricks on how to play disc golf;
- A ribbon-cutting ceremony; and
- Coffee with Council, where citizens can share input and ideas on the 2026 Town of Ponoka Budget.
The disc golf course will welcome all ages and skill levels. Disc golf is often described as a blend of traditional golf and frisbee. Players use flying discs to complete a course by aiming for chain baskets. Please click here to view the disc golf course map
